The Douglas Police Department provides 24-hour service to all persons residing in or visiting our community. The motto, “To Protect and To Serve”, states the essential purpose of the Department. We serve the people of Douglas by performing the law enforcement function in a professional manner and it is to these people that the Department is ultimately responsible.
The Douglas Police Department is comprised of 33-sworn and 24 professional staff. The Department, recognizing the value and importance of its employees, ensures that each employee is treated equitably, providing them with the leadership, training, and equipment needed to accomplish this mission.
