Mini Binational Ports of Entry Meeting

Taking advantage of the presence of all the key federal agencies during the Summit, a Mini-Binational session was programmed to focus on all of Arizona’s ports of entry. Representatives from General Services Administration, Customs and Border Protection, the State Department and Federal Highway Administration met with binational local and state leaders to discuss infrastructure projects and priorities. All agencies confirmed that the Douglas Two-Port Solution is a top national priority. Additionally, the US Department of State confirmed that once the Feasibity Study for the Douglas port of entry modernization, that a Diplomatic Note will be send to Mexico confirming the Two-Port Solution and identifying the location of the new port at James Ranch Road.
