5th Annual Douglas Days 2018 

A community celebration you don’t want to miss! Come join us in celebrating Douglas’ past, present, and future on May 18th and 19th at Raul Castro park located on 10th street between D and E avenue.

Come celebrate Douglas’ past, present and future on May 18th and 19th, 2018 at Raul Castro Park, located on 10th Street between D and E avenues in Douglas.
This fun annual event commemorates the day Douglas was incorporated – May 15, 1905. It is a fun family-friendly event for all ages.

Pre-event activities include the Miss Douglas Days 2018 pageant. The event will be hosted by the Greater Douglas Chamber of Commerce on April 21st, 2018 at 7:00pm at the James A. Brenden Auditorium.  For more information contacted Missdouglasdays@gmail.com

The weekend’s festivities will be celebrated throughout the community. The event opens with a welcome ceremony at 5 p.m. at Castro Park followed by the 3rd Annual Douglas Days Talent Show featuring the communities most talented individuals from all ages. Delicious food vendors, talented craft vendors, informational booths and a beer garden will be present at the park Friday and Saturday.

Saturday’s festivities kick off with a 10 a.m. parade rolling through downtown along G Avenue, followed by bed races, free Slaughter Ranch tours, hay rides, kids entertainment, music and dance by Douglas’ own talented performers and participation by sister cities Agua Prieta, Sonora. Bring your family and friends and don’t forget your dancing shoes!

Don’t miss your chance to snap a selfie with Miss Douglas Days 2018. She will be present at many of the weekend’s festivities. In other locations, come watch youth and adult soccer and baseball tournaments. The Aquatic Center will be open all day for free open swim. This is an event you don’t want to miss!
