Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher
The HCV program assists families with rental assistance payments, provided
they meet eligibility requirements and are within HUD approved income
limits (link). Click here for an application.
Section 8 Moderate Rehabilitation Program
The Mod Rehab program provides assistance to tenants living at Coronado
Courts (picture) apartment complex. Assistance is tied to the housing unit, and
cannot be ported to another facility, as with the Voucher program.
Owner Occupied Housing Rehabilitation (link – pictures)
This program provides assistance to elderly
residents living in the targeted area, Census Tracts 8 & 9, (map) in the
rehabilitation of their homes. For more information on this program, call

Rental Rehabilitation Program
The Rental Rehabilitation Program assists local property owners in
rehabilitating rental properties by providing low interest (3%) loans. Maximum
amount that can be borrowed is $25,000 per unit. The property must be located
within Census Tract 9.
Emergency Home Repair Program
The Emergency Home Repair program is designed to correct hazardous conditions that will result in a unit that is decent, safe and sanitary and meets the State Rehabilitation Standards. The program will address units with one or more hazardous conditions that threaten the health and safety of the occupants, such as roofing repairs, plumbing, electrical, etc. Note: Funds may also be used to assist owners on the waiting list for Owner-Occupied Housing Rehabilitation where correction of hazardous conditions is necessary to avoid displacement of the owner-occupants. In this case, the cost of emergency repairs must be included in the total cost of rehabilitation.
