WASTEWATER COLLECTION - The wastewater division ensures that all wastewater collection facilities to include
but not limited to sewer collection lines, manholes and other appurtenances are maintained and operated
in accordance to industry standards and the water quality regulations outlined in the Clean Water Act.
The City maintains approximately 50 miles of sewer collection lines.
WASTEWATER TREATMENT - The wastewater division section ensures that all wastewater facilities to include the City’s
Wastewater Treatment Plant with a treatment capacity of 2.0 Million Gallons per Day (MGD) and a Lift-Station
located north of Douglas at the Douglas State Prison Complex are maintained and operated in accordance to
industry standards, AZ Aquifer Protection Permit and the water quality regulations outlined in the Clean Water Act.
