FARE PROGRAM - On October 14th of 2005, the Douglas Municipal Court implemented a new collection program called Fines/Fee and Restitution
Enforcement (FARE). This program will help collect fines that are past due 60 days. The program adds $35.00 to the balance
and then an additional 19%.
Once your account has been added to the FARE program, it will report your name to a collection agency,
the Department of Motor Vehicle for registration holds and the Internal Revenue Service for tax interception.
We suggest, that if your account(s) is/are past due, you send a payment immediately upon receipt of
this notice to avoid additional fees on your account(s). If you have any uestions please feel free
