Mitchel R. Lindemann was born in
Valley City, North Dakota and was raised primarily in Bismarck, N.D.
He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Vocal and
Instrumental Music from Valley City State University (1981).
He taught in the North Dakota Public School systems for two years
before moving to Arizona in 1986 where his first teaching assignment
was for the Duncan Unified School District.
Mr. Lindemann was hired to teach
Instrumental Music for the Douglas Unified School System in 1988.
He received a Master of Arts in Elementary Education degree (1991)
and a Master of Arts in Education Administration degree in (1993).
Both degrees were earned from Northern Arizona University. Mr.
Lindemann has recently been appointed to serve on the City of
Douglas Finance committee.
Mr. Lindemann has served the City
of Douglas on the Planning and Zoning commission as member, Vice
Chairman and Chairman from 1994 to 2005. He was elected
Councilman for Ward Two in 2006. Also, he has served as Vice
Chairman of the Douglas Education Association and has been a member
of the Blue Ribbon Committee for Douglas Unified Schools.
