Background
Richard C. Acosta is currently a school counselor at Paul Huber Middle School with the Douglas Unified School District. Prior to moving to the middle school, Acosta worked as a guidance counselor at Douglas High School for 12 years. Acosta graduated from Douglas High School in 1983 and has followed the school’s motto, “Once a bulldog, always a Bulldog,” since graduating. Acosta went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education from Western New Mexico University and a Master of Arts in Educational Counseling from University of Phoenix. After completing his post-secondary education journey, Acosta returned to Douglas, Arizona where he was proudly born and raised.
